Mergui Archipelago - Southern most Burma/Myanmar

Southern areas of Burma/Myanmar: Mergui http://www.merguiprincess.com/
Cheapter to go there from Thai side: Mueang Ranong. If you REALLY want to go to the south, Mergui etc... then you can
1) try to do it from the Thai side this link talks about that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mergui_Archipelago
From the THAI SIDE YOU CAN TAKE AIR ASIA FLIGHT FROM BKK to SURAT THANI to Ranong and take visa run boat from Ranong to Kaw Thaung.
That is easier to go Mergui area otherwise you have to take flight from BKK - RGN - kawthaung (cost would be triple).
"Mergui Princess" <merguiprincess@gmail.com>,
Tip: boats are cheaper during the Water Festival season, (when the weather is very hot, just before the rains start)

Paypal, Sanctions and Burma/Myanmar

If you ever used Paypal from within Burma/Myanmar, paypal will disable your account. They then ask you to prove you have not been giving money to any Burmese.

That's really impossible to "Prove", Paypal has all the transaction records of what was sent where and when, so they should be able to check this themselves.

Also: Paypal does not warn people of possible consequences or sanctions while making payments from withing Burma/Myanmar, they just disable your account heavy handed and ruthlessly. Simply for making a payment while physically located in Myanmar/Burma. I made payments from my Australian acct to Vietnam from an internet cafe in Rangoon. BANG !! lots of hassle and crap.

They claim its for sanctions reasons, but Paypal are over reacting to Sanctions - see government advice that makes imore clear:  http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Documents/burma.pdf
